Rakel R.R. is the director of Arymux, a multidisciplinary artist and activist involved in numerous social causes. She has a degree in Teaching, is a Senior Technician in Sign Language Interpretation, an Interpreter Guide for blind and deafblind people and creator of Signodanza, which has become her personal brand. A pioneer in sign language interpreting in the artistic field, she has been giving courses for years in different countries, training professionals in interpreting sign language and specialising them in this field.  

As a researcher, she publishes in scientific journals and participates in international conferences and events giving lectures, workshops and talks. She teaches courses on Communication, Art and Inclusion for organisations and people with and without functional diversity, always including a gender perspective and the language of emotion. She received the Cultural Creation Award from the Ramón Rubial Foundation for her work in Arymux in favour of human rights, respect, tolerance, inclusion, equality and accessibility in art.  In 2021 she was selected as a speaker at the Fair Saturday Foundation Forum along 30 other international leaders, to talk about culture, innovation and social change. In 2022 she received the Ametsa Award for innovation in the Performing Arts within the II Edition of the Urregin Basque Theatre Awards.  

Arymux covers a very broad field of action within art, culture and education. Its main objective is the creation of shows, events, activities and training that can be enjoyed by all audiences. It is an organisation that works on creating an inclusive and accessible culture with professionals of different ages, backgrounds and artistic disciplines, creating its own shows, and advising or collaborating with other artists and national and international events so that they can also make their proposals accessible.
