Martin Simonson is a Professor of Modern English Literature at the University of the Basque Country. He has translated some thirty novels and essays into Spanish from Swedish, Norwegian and English, including several works by J.R.R. Tolkien, and is the author of the essays The Lord of the Rings and the Western Narrative Tradition (Walking Tree Publishers 2008) and From East to West: The Portrayal of Nature in British Fantasy (Peter Lang 2021), among others. As a novelist, he has published The Wind of the Wilds (Jonathan Alwars 2019), Rays of a Broken Sun (2021) and Middle World 5.0 (2022; both Legendary). His latest book is A History of Númenor and Middle-earth in the Second Age, also published by Legendaria.
